The Austin Ten is a series of compact cars that was introduced in 1932. The Ten was also known as the Ten-Four, due to its 10 taxable horsepower, and four cylinder engine. These cars were offered in a range of body styles, including saloon, convertible, and tourer.
1936 AUSTIN 10/4 CAMBRIDGE, NO RESERVE
The Austin 10 was powered by a 1125cc four cylinder side valve engine (good for 21bhp), which drove the rear wheels through a four speed gearbox and open drive shaft to a live rear axle. Suspension was by half elliptic springs all round, and cable operated brakes were fitted.

The 1945-1947 Austin Ten-Four was a revived pre-war design that lasted only until Longbridge had the replacement A40 Somerset ready. Introduced in 1939, its semi-integral construction was a step forward, but its side-valve engine dated back to 1932.
